<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device easily and accurately detecting the inclination of an automatic document feeder.SOLUTION: A reflection light type optical sensor for detecting reflected light, radiated on a lid part that covers a reading region, is provided on a carriage for scanning the reading region of a document table by the movement of a line type image sensor to a scanning direction. At a plurality of positions of the reading region, each detection signal detected by the reflection light type operation sensor is acquired. A floating state of the lid part is determined based on the acquired detection signal.</p> |
