<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layer thickness regulating blade capable of controlling floating of both longitudinal ends. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device comprises: a body 57 for storing developer; a developing roller 53 rotatably supported by the body 57; and a plate-like layer thickness regulating blade 100 for regulating thickness of the developer supported by the developing roller 53.
