A water pump of an internal combustion engine, including a pump housing having a cylindrical portion constructed so as to surround an outer peripheral side of a drive shaft, the cylindrical portion being integrally formed of an aluminum-based metal material, and a stepped portion provided on the outer peripheral side of the cylindrical portion. A bearing is provided having an outer race fixed to a pulley and an inner race made of an iron-based metal material and fixed to an outer periphery of the cylindrical portion. Additionally, a shielding member is provided having an inner peripheral side sandwiched between the inner race and the stepped portion, an outer peripheral side having a plate shape and extending to side of the outer race, and an end-face seal structure portion formed of an elastic material and formed on at least one of opposite surfaces of the sandwiched inner peripheral side. |
