PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a client apparatus to project an image and ensure security in connecting to a network, in an image projection device having an access point function such as a wireless LAN.SOLUTION: An image projection device includes: determination means for determining whether or not a destination of data received from a client device is a predetermined destination; projection control means for making an image be projected on the basis of the data having the predetermined destination; authentication means for performing authentication on data having a destination differing from the predetermined destination; and access control means for controlling the client device's access to a network on the basis of a result of the authentication.
