PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic latent image development excellent in heat-resistant storage property, with which an image with a desired image density can be formed for a long period of time, by suppressing embedding of external additive particles in a toner particle surface or desorption of external additive particles from a toner particle surface caused by stresses added to the toner particles in a developing device.SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic latent image development comprises toner particles each comprising a toner core and a shell layer coating a surface of the toner core. Inorganic fine particles having a number average particle diameter within a predetermined range are present on an interface between the toner core and the shell layer. The shell layer is made of a resin containing a unit derived from a thermosetting resin monomer. At least one resin monomer selected from an amino resin group consisting of melamine resin, urea resin, and glyoxal resin is used for the thermosetting resin monomer. In an observation of a toner particle with a scanning electron microscope, projections derived from shapes of inorganic fine particles are observed on a surface of the toner particle. |
