PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which combines a light-emitting element with a bluish green phosphor which emits high-luminance light upon excitation by near-ultraviolet to visible light and exhibits better temperature characteristics than the prior art.SOLUTION: The bluish green phosphor efficiently absorbs light having wavelength from 300 nm to 470 nm to emit bluish green light. It is represented by the general formula (4-a-b)SrO.aBaO.bEuO.cAlO.zBiO, where a, b, c and z are numerical values satisfying 0<a≤2.00, 0<b≤1.00, 6≤c≤8 and 0≤z≤0.5, and preferably a=0.50, b=0.30, c=7.0 and z=0.2. A light-emitting device combines a phosphor including the bluish green phosphor with a semiconductor light-emitting element. |
