<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to ensure preventing a protection plate from falling without interference of a tool replacement arm with a fall prevention device even if restrictions are imposed on specifications and the like of a machine tool.SOLUTION: A protection plate 80 attached to a tip end of a ram 50 gripping a spindle 60 of a machine tool 1, includes: an insertion hole 83 into which the spindle 60 is inserted; and a fall prevention device 110 held by the ram 50, a held state of the fall prevention device 110 being able to be cancelled. The fall prevention device 110 is configured so that a length Lbetween a holding point Pat which the fall prevention device 110 is held by the ram 50 and a hole uppermost point Plocated opposite to the holding point Pacross a central axis 60c of the spindle 60 in an upper end edge 84 of the insertion hole 83 is set smaller than a length Lbetween the holding point Pand a spindle lowermost point Plocated opposite to the holding point Pacross the central axis 60c of the spindle 60 in a lower end edge 61 of the spindle 60.</p> |
