<p>An optical scanning device controls outputs of laser beams with high accuracy by correcting the nonlinearity of a current-light characteristic. An electric current supply unit supplies a bias current or a driving current to a semiconductor laser. A detection unit detects light amount of the laser beam. A control unit controls the driving current based on the light amount detected. A constant current generation unit generates constant currents. A calculation unit derives an n-th degree approximate expression (n≧2) of a current-light characteristic based on the light amount by emitting a specific light emitting section according to the constant currents, and calculates a light emission start current start current for the specific light emitting section using the expression. A bias current generation unit generates the bias current based on electric current values obtained from results of light controls for other light emitting sections and the expression.</p> |
