<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool excellent in fusion resistance and abrasion resistance. <P>SOLUTION: A cutting tool 1 has a blade 5 at an intersecting ridge line of a rake face 3 and a flank 4, keeps the surface of a substrate 2 coated with a coating layer 6 formed of Ti<SB POS="POST">a</SB>Al<SB POS="POST">b</SB>Nb<SB POS="POST">d</SB>M<SB POS="POST">e</SB>(C<SB POS="POST">1-x</SB>N<SB POS="POST">x</SB>) (wherein M is at least one selected from Si, W, Mo, Ta, Hf, Cr, Zr and Y, 0.25≤a≤0.8, 0≤b≤0.6, 0.01≤d≤0.3, 0≤e≤0.25, a+b+d+e=1, 0≤x≤1), and has the content ratio of Nb in the coating layer 6 at the rake face 3 is lower than the content ratio of Nb in the coating layer 6 at the flank 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
