摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel control system for an electric vehicle, in which, when the electric vehicle having a super-directional ultrasonic parametric speaker enters an intersection or a curved road, the use of the super-directional ultrasonic parametric speaker allows a vehicle such as entering the intersection from another road or traveling on the curved road in an opposite direction to be detected to allow safe driving of the electric vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A travel control system for controlling traveling of an electric vehicle 1 entering an intersection where a plurality of roads intersect with each other, includes a curved mirror 19 installed so as to reflect an ultrasonic wave transmitted from the electric vehicle 1 in a direction toward another road in the intersection, in which the electric vehicle 1 detects a vehicle traveling on another road in the intersection, based on the deviation of a frequency of the ultrasonic wave reflected by the curved mirror 19 and returned to the electric vehicle 1 from that of the ultrasonic wave emitted from the electric vehicle 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
