<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiseptic composition for an ophthalmology preparation which is not irritant to eyes and can also safely be applied to the eyes having troubles such as dry eyes, eyestrain, cornea damage, anti-allergies and damage by wearing contact lenses, and also a composition for ophthalmic use excellent in antiseptic force even if an antiseptic agent which provides irritation to eye mucous membranes such as benzalkonium chloride is not contained. <P>SOLUTION: The composition for ophthalmic use, which is an eye drop agent or an eye washing agent, comprises (A)≥0.05 mass% and <0.5 mass% of trometamol, and (B) one or more selected from the group consisting of boric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid, maleic acid, phthalic acid andε-amino caproic acid contained in the range of (A)/(B)=1/50 to 50/1 (mass ratio) and (A)/(B)≥3/1 or (A)/(B)≤3/2 (both are in mass ratio); a pH is 5 to 7.5; and the amount of an irritant antiseptic agent such as benzalkonium chloride is 0.0005 mass% or less, or the irritant antiseptic agent is not blended. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
