WATER-LEAK DETECTOR, WATER-LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM, AND WATER-LEAK DETECTION METHOD

This water-leak detector contains a processor and a storage device. The storage device stores the following: a measurement-history database containing history data for measurements of values that reflect flow rates in plumbing; and a determination-target database containing determination-target data consisting of measurements from a time period on which water-leak detection is to be performed. The processor selects, from the history data, a plurality of cycles' worth of measurement data at prescribed intervals. From the selected history data, the processor computes a demand model based on a periodic-variation component having a period equal to the aforementioned intervals and/or a model for a water-leak component based on a stationary component having a period equal to the aforementioned intervals, and on the basis of said model(s) and determination-target data at the aforementioned intervals, determines whether or not a new water leak has occurred in the abovementioned plumbing.
