<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium improved in flame retardancy.SOLUTION: There is provided a filter medium comprising a laminate of an air permeable porous body including organic polymers and a woven fabric or knitted fabric including organic polymers. The filter medium having at least one fused end is characterized by adopting the woven or knitted fabric having a sieve opening larger than 3 mm in short side length. By adopting the woven or knitted fabric having such a sieve opening, a fire generating from fabrics composing the woven or knitted fabric including the organic polymers hardly spreads to the fabric adjacent holding the sieve opening in between. Accordingly, combustibility is lowered by preventing generation of combustion due to fused droppings of the filter medium and as a result, the filter medium improved in flame retardancy is obtained.</p> |
