<p>A honeycomb filter 20 includes a cell 23 that is open at one end and closed at the other end and serves as a fluid flow path and a cell 23 that is closed at one end and open at the other end alternately disposed. The honeycomb filter 20 includes a side trapping layer 24a, which is disposed on each of side partitions 22a forming the sides of the polygonal cells 23, and a corner trapping layer 24b, which is disposed on each of corner partitions 22b forming the corners of the polygonal cells. The trapping layer thickness ratio Y/X of the thickness Y of the corner trapping layer 24b to the thickness X of the side trapping layer 24a is 1.1 or more and 2.4 or less. The corner trapping layer 24b has a larger thickness than the side trapping layer 24a. Thus, the side trapping layer 24a can more easily trap solid components.</p> |
