<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyarylate suitable as a substrate for photocurable resin, and suppressed of reduction of transmittance in wavelength region from UV region to blue region even if UV-ray is irradiated. <P>SOLUTION: This substrate for photocurable resin uses a polyarylate composed of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component and an aromatic bisphenol component expressed by general formula (1), where in formula, X represents a divalent group containing a halogen atom or an aromatic ring.
