The present invention relates to a mobile terminal for transmitting and receiving data in segment units and a method for transmitting data of the same. The mobile terminal comprises: a buffering unit for temporarily storing transmission object segments of data divided into segment units; a wireless communicating unit for transmitting the transmission object segments to a target terminal; and a control unit for determining a first transmittable segment number based on confirmation data received from the target terminal and confirming a second transmittable segment number based on a data exchanging state of middle nodes on a network pathway where the segments pass through from the confirmation data. The control unit checks an available buffer size of the buffering unit determined according to the quantity of the pre-stored segments, determines an accompanying transmittable segment number by using the available buffer size, first transmittable segment number, and second transmittable segment number, and stores transmission object segments corresponding to the determined segment number in the buffering unit. |
