The present invention provides a method for producing image contents linked with location information and a method for using the same contents whereby: a location where an image frame of image contents taken can be easily and accurately identified as the location information is linked to each image frame of the image contents; utilization of the location information of the image contents can be increased; utilization of various kinds of information is increased as image contents information, location information, and meta-data related to the image contents can be searched in various search patterns; and various additional services using location information of movies, UCCs, TV shows, and so on can be provided. According to the present invention, a method for producing image contents linked with location information includes: a location information generation step in which a location information detection device generates location information of an image frame constituting image contents; a location information link step in which a location link device links the image frame constituting the image consents with relevant location information; a location information file generation step in which the location information file generation device generates a location formation file in which location information linked with the image frame is stored; and a location-information-linked image contents generation step for generating location-information-linked image contents, which are linked with the image contents file and the location information file.
