PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy switching between electronic book display modes with a single manipulation.SOLUTION: An electronic book reader includes a display control unit 123 for having an electronic book displayed on a display unit 150, a manipulation receiving unit 121 which receives user manipulation via a manipulation unit 110, and an image generation unit 122 which generates a plurality of types of display images depending on a viewing operational mode for the electronic book. The manipulation receiving unit 121 detects, while a single page or double page view of the electronic book is being displayed on the display unit 150, the type of one manipulation made that specifies a predetermined region having no manipulation menu displayed therein, and the image generation unit 122 identifies a viewing operational mode for the electronic book from the type of the one manipulation detected by the manipulation receiving unit 121 and generates a display image of a type corresponding to the identified viewing operational mode. |
