<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively extending service life of a filtering medium, when recycling factory wastewater by filtering the same, in a manner that heats backwashing water using steam and performs backwash of the filtering medium with heated water for the purposes of extending the service life of the filtering medium and shortening backwashing time.SOLUTION: In a method for regenerating a filtering medium 2 by backwashing the same with heated water, a filter 1 performs a water treatment facility circulation flow A and a backwashing flow B. In the water treatment facility circulation flow A, water 3 to be treated with a pollution material 3a contained therein is supplied from a factory 14 to the filter 1 through a raw water valve 10. Then, treated water 4 with the pollution material 3a filtered out by the filtering medium 2 is discharged from the filter 1 and sent back to the factory 14 through a treated water valve 11. In the backwashing flow B, when filtering performance of the filtering medium 2 of the filter 1 is reduced, the pollution material 3a is washed out in a manner that: heats backwashing water 6 at 60 to 70°C with steam 7 by supplying the backwashing water 6 and the steam 7 to a hot water tank 5; takes out the heated backwashing water from the hot water tank 1 with a backwashing pump 8 at a downstream side thereof; and washes out the pollution material 3a by supplying the heated backwashing water to the filtering medium 2 including the pollution material 3a through bottom sections of the filter 1 through a backwashing water valve 12. Then, waste backwashing water 9 is discharged from an upper section of the filter 1 and stored in a waste backwashing water storage tank 15 through a waste backwashing water drain valve 13.</p> |
