<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display system and on-vehicle device for facilitating the reduction of a data amount to be transmitted from a portable terminal to the on-vehicle device and facilitating smooth displaying on a vehicle device side.SOLUTION: A display processing unit on a portable terminal side transmits a display area number (display destination designation information) for allowing a display area assigned to a part of the screen of an on-vehicle device to be designated as a display destination to the on-vehicle device, and also transmits the display image information (corresponding to display information) of a portable terminal to the on-vehicle device after making the information into information that meets the display area of the display destination (step S16). The information processing unit on the on-vehicle device side allows a display unit to display an image corresponding to the received display image information in the display area designated by the display area number (display destination designation information) (step S17).</p> |
