<p> Without constructing a database, the present invention retrieves, with high accuracy, the proprietor of a document about a topic for which information is desired. An inputted query is transmitted to other PCs connected to a network, and a document conforming to the query is retrieved by a plurality of other PCs using both text and an image in the document. A plurality of retrieval results received by a PC at the transmission source of the query are displayed together with person information and related-document information.</p> |
