PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure fuel supply pump in which a fuel flow path is formed having a bent part near a valve seat, for reducing erosion near the valve seat due to cavitation.SOLUTION: The high-pressure fuel supply pump includes a fuel passage 10S, 10P communicated with a fuel pressurizing chamber whose volume is changed with the reciprocating motion of a plunger having reciprocating motion, and a fluid valve 203, 214S provided in the fuel passage, the fluid valve being constituted by a valve seat 214S and a valve member 203, the fuel passage having a clearance passage area 10S formed in a clearance between the valve seat and the valve member, and a bent passage area 10P extending from the clearance passage area while being bent to the downstream side. At the upstream side end of a passage face 214D which is provided on the inner periphery side of a bent passage part formed by the clearance passage area and the bent passage area with reference to the reverse flow direction of fuel and constructed on the side of the bent passage area, a recessed part 214A is formed. |
