PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an optional viewpoint image from a multi-viewpoint image and a depth image.SOLUTION: An image processor includes means for generating a projection image and a depth projection image from depth values of respective depth images about pixels of a picked-up image, means for calculating the adaptability of a luminance value of pixels of an optional viewpoint image, layer group storage means for storing a layer image that determines the luminance value of pixels of an optional viewpoint image and the depth value of the pixels from the luminance vale of pixels of a plurality of predetermined projection images about a pixel determined to be enough to be reliable, means for correcting a depth value and repeating similar processing about a pixel determined not to be sufficient to be reliable, means for performing filling-up using the layer image and expanding a synthetic area on the layer image, and means for outputting an optional viewpoint image by performing matching processing at a place where depth does not continue and compositing images after respectively projecting the layer image to one optional viewpoint image plane. |
