PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbine protection device and turbine protection device diagnostic method capable of implementing a diagnosis during operation of a turbine.SOLUTION: A turbine protection device according to one embodiment includes: a fault diagnosis unit that outputs a fault simulation signal; and first, second, and third abnormal-signal input unit each of which outputs an abnormal signal in response to an abnormal detection signal or the fault simulation signal. The turbine protection device also includes: first, second, and third arithmetic units each of which outputs an emergency stop signal in response to the abnormal signal; and first, second, third, and fourth output units each of which outputs an emergency shutoff signal in response to the emergency stop signal. Moreover, each of the first to third arithmetic units operates to output the emergency stop signal if receiving the abnormal signals from two or more out of the first to third abnormal-signal input units. Furthermore, each of the first to fourth output units operates to output the emergency shutoff signal if receiving the emergency stop signals from two or more out of the first to third arithmetic units. |
