<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle failure detection device capable of detecting failure of a motor system more appropriately. <P>SOLUTION: The sensitivity of detection of the failure of the motor system is changed according to states of operation of an accelerator pedal, a brake pedal, a select lever, etc. by a driver.
