A socket device installed to an electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a tray-receiving-socket comprising a plurality of connectors mounted on a substrate within an interior of the electronic device, and a tray configured to ingress and egress from the tray-receiving-socket via an opening in the electronic device, and at least partially house an additional function device operable with the electronic device when the tray is fully ingressed into the tray-receiving-socket, wherein a surface of the tray is further configured to be flush with an outer surface of the electronic device when the tray is fully ingressed into the tray-receiving-socket.
