<p>This radiation detection device is provided with a scintillator layer that converts radiation to light and a sensor panel that has a photoelectric conversion section that detects light into which radiation was converted by the scintillator layer. The scintillator layer contains a plurality of scintillator particles that convert radiation to light and a binder that fixes said scintillator particles in place on top of the sensor panel. Said binder forms a film between the surface of the sensor panel and the scintillator particles. Said film is thicker at the periphery of the scintillator layer than in the middle thereof.</p>
