<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system which can reduce time and labor required for a system operation and enhance flexibility of installation of a target monitoring device while securing security. <P>SOLUTION: A communication system comprises: a secured network in which security is secured; and a base station which is connected with the secured network and performs wireless communication with a network device comprising a wireless communication function. The secured network comprises an authentication processing unit and a wireless notification unit. When the authentication processing unit receives an authentication request message via the base station from the network device which is interconnected with the secured network and also connected with an external network different from the secured network, the authentication processing unit executes authentication processing procedure for the network device which is a transmission source of the authentication request message, and replies a result of the authentication processing procedure to the transmission source network device.
