<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress image density unevenness in association with ruggedness formed on the surface of a recording sheet, more than in a conventional manner. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a relationship ofρ<SB>v,b</SB>×t<SB>b</SB>≥1e9×L<SB>b</SB>×W<SB>b</SB>, wherein a volume resistivity of a paper conveying belt 39a is denoted asρ<SB>v,b</SB>[Ωm]; a thickness of the paper conveying belt 39a is denoted as t<SB>b</SB>[m], an energizing length in a nip, as a length in a belt width direction to exchange a secondary transfer current between the intermediate transfer belt 21 and the paper conveying belt 39a is denoted as L<SB>b</SB>[m]; and a nip width, as a length in the belt moving direction of a secondary transfer nip being a contact part where the both belts come in contact with each other is denoted as W<SB>b</SB>[m]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
