An image forming apparatus, which can be connected to a different image forming apparatus in series-tandem, includes: an image forming unit configured to perform image forming based on image data; a communication unit configured to communicate with the different image forming apparatus; and a control unit configured to control the image forming and the communication, wherein the control unit acquires own apparatus coverage in print history of the own apparatus, acquires different apparatus coverage in print history of the different image forming apparatus through the communication unit, and compares the own apparatus coverage and the different apparatus coverage, and when the own apparatus coverage is high and a difference therebetween exceeds a predetermined deviation value, the control unit performs control to execute stabilization control by density adjustment. |
