The present invention relates to a coupling unit capable of easily being brazing-welded improving a joining strength by making an area welded to a pipe uniform, and welding a pipe which is long or unable to move in a longitudinal direction to be connected; and to a welding method using the same. In a pipe welding method welding a coupling unit having a female screw thread on the inner surface of a body to connect first and second pipes where a male screw thread is formed on the outer end, a pipe welding method using a coupling unit capable of being easily brazing-welded in accordance to a desirable embodiment of the present invention is characterized by comprising: a coupling unit preparing step of preparing the coupling unit having a pair of welding grooves formed into a ring shape on each both ends of a female screw thread of the coupling unit at intervals, and including a filler material inside the welding grooves; a pipe moving step of moving the first and second pipes where the coupling unit is welded not to meet the ends of the first and second pipes to weld the coupling unit to the first and second pipes; a coupling unit welding step of welding the coupling unit to one between the first and second pipes to the end; a pipe returning step of returning the first and second pipes to its original positions; a coupling unit moving step of moving the first and second pipes to interpose the coupling unit between the first and second pipes; and a coupling unit welding step of melting the filler material mounted to the coupling unit using a heating device such as a torch to weld the coupling unit interposed between the first and second pipes.
