PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump type liquid discharger capable of avoiding such a co-rotation of a pump cylinder as has been feared in the case where a push rod is turned so that the engagement with a ring cap is released to hold said push rod in a raised position.SOLUTION: A pump type liquid discharger comprises: a base cap 2 capable of engaging with the outer periphery of a mouth neck 1a of a container body 1; a pump 3 suspended on the inner side of the container body 1 through said mouth neck 1a and fixed and held on said mouth neck 1a in said base cap 2; and a press head 5 connected to a hollow stem 3c of said pump 3 for actuating said pump 3 by repeatedly and vertically moving the hollow stem 3c to discharge the content in the container body 1. The pump type liquid discharger further comprises one or a plurality of rotation preventing pieces 8 mounted on the outer circumference wall of a cylinder 3a of the pump 3 for preventing the rotation of the cylinder 3a in at least one of a clockwise direction and a counter-clockwise direction, by contacting the inner circumference wall of the mouth neck 1a with a tip.
