PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of preventing leakage of a SAP (Super Absorbent Polymer) to the outside of an absorbent article and the losing of the shape of an absorber, not preventing the swelling of the SAP and subsequent expansion of the absorber, and capable of exerting a sufficient absorbing property.SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes the absorber 22A including a fluff pulp and the SAP, and absorber cover sheets 50A for covering the surface S1, both side faces S3 and S4 and the backside S2 of the absorber 22A. The absorber cover sheet 50A is further extended to the width-directional outward from both side edges E1 and E2 of the absorber 22A to form bag parts 60A, and covers both the side faces S3 and S4 of the absorber 22A with the bag parts 60A. Weak joining parts 56A for joining the absorber cover sheets 50A with each other are formed between the side edges E3 (E4) of the bag parts 60A and the side edges E1 (E2) of the absorber 22A. The weak joining parts 56A are formed along both the side edges E1 and E2 of the absorber 22A at least at positions corresponding to the longitudinal central part of the absorber 22A. |
