PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pavement excellent in rut digging resistance characteristics at low costs by using polyethylene resin and oil from waste.SOLUTION: Pavement consists of aggregate, a filler, asphalt and a synthetic resin incompatible with asphalt; the content of the synthetic resin is 3-7 wt.%; and 90% or more of synthetic resin has an irregular shape being stretched such that a ratio of width to length is 1:3 or higher. An asphalt mixture is obtained by kneading aggregate, the filler, asphalt and the synthetic resin at 160-170°C for at least 40 s. The pavement is obtained by laying the asphalt mixture and doing rolling compaction. |
