PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horn controller for vehicle that has high noise suppression effects in an area where noise should be suppressed.SOLUTION: A horn controller for vehicle includes: a sound reduction determination section 301 which is used for a vehicle C having a horn 43, and determines whether the vehicle C is in a sound reduction area where the sound volume of the horn 43 should be small; and a sound volume control section 302 which makes the volume of the sound output by the horn in response to a user's operation to blow the horn 43 smaller when the sound reduction determination section 301 determines that the vehicle C is in the sound reduction area than when the sound reduction determination section 301 determines that the vehicle C is outside the sound reduction area. Once it can be determined that the current position is in the sound reduction area, the volume of the sound output by the horn 43 is made small without reference to whether communication with a vehicle to be warned is possible, so an area where noise should be suppressed is set as the sound reduction area so as to obtain high noise suppression effects in the area. |
