<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect failure of a paper presence detection sensor which detects presence of paper in a paper feeding cassette.SOLUTION: An image formation device 1 includes a device body 11, a paper feeding cassette 141 which is detachable from the device body 11 and houses paper P on which a toner image is transferred, a cassette attaching/detaching sensor 70 which detects attaching/detaching of the paper feeding cassette 141, a paper presence detection sensor 80 which detects presence of the paper P in the paper feeding cassette 141 and detects that paper is not present regardless of presence of the paper P when the paper feeding cassette 141 is drawn out of the device body 11, and sensor failure determination part 101 which determines that the paper presence detection sensor 80 is defective if presence of paper is detected when the paper feeding cassette 141 is being drawn out of the device body 11, based on detection results of the cassette attaching/detaching sensor 70 and the paper presence detection sensor 80.</p> |
