<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicle capable of improving fuel efficiency upon the restart of an engine from a coast travelling.SOLUTION: When a driver releases depression of an accelerator pedal, a vehicle 1 is transferred to a coast traveling state and supply of fuel to an engine 2 is stopped. Further a transmission ratio of a transmission 3 is reduced to the minimum transmission ratio and a lock up clutch 46 is disengaged. When an accelerator operation is performed during the coast traveling, the transmission ratio of the transmission 3 is raised toward a target transmission ratio. Raising the transmission ratio increases speed of the engine 2. Subsequently the engine 2 is subjected to firing so that the speed of the engine 2 is further increased.</p> |
