The invention relates to a curtain airbag (100) for a vehicle (9) comprising a main chamber (3) which is shaped in such a way that, in the position being mounted on the vehicle (9), in the inflated state it covers an inner side structure (10) of the vehicle (9), wherein the curtain airbag (100) comprises an additional chamber (11) which, in the mounting position, is located at the in driving direction of the vehicle (9) front portion (3a) of the main chamber (3), and deploys in the direction of the interior (1) of the vehicle (9) when the curtain airbag (100) is inflated, wherein at least one of the additional chamber (11), which deploys towards the interior (1) of the vehicle (9) when the curtain airbag (100) is inflated, is attached to the main chamber (3) in that way, that it is positioned in the inflated state between the front portion (3a) of the main chamber (3) and an occupant (2) to be restrained by the curtain airbag (100). |
