A paper feeding roller (1) has an embossed surface (21) comprising raised portions (211) and sunken portions (212), wherein at least the bottom faces of the sunken portions (212) have holes (213) that are recessed toward the interior. The arithmetic mean height (Ra) of the embossed surface (21) can be 3-50 μm, the diameter of the hole (213) can be 1-100 μm, and the percentage of the area of the sunken portion (212) occupied by the area of the hole (213) can be in a range of 1-25%. The paper feeding roller (1) can be suitably used in an electrophotographic image forming device by being incorporated in a paper supplying device. |
