The present invention relates to a Streptomyces vellosus HR29 strain having antifungal activity for plant-pathogenic fungi, and a composition for controlling plant diseases including the Streptomyces vellosus HR29 strain. According to an embodiment of the present invention, by using the Streptomyces vellosus HR29 strain and the composition for controlling plant diseases including the Streptomyces vellosus HR29 strain, fungi which cause various plant diseases can be effectively inhibited. Also, a problem of soil and water pollution which is caused by conventional synthetic agricultural chemicals can be prevented, thereby providing a customer with safe agricultural products which have improved quality.
