METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING 3-D KNEE JOINT IMAGE

The present invention relates to a three dimensional knee joint image producing method and a device thereof. The three dimensional knee joint image producing method according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises; a step of producing a statistical shape module by using knee bone images which are produced beforehand; a step of producing a knee joint bone image by dividing a bone area in an input knee image by using the statistical shape module; a step of producing a knee joint cartilage image by dividing a cartilage area in the knee joint bone image; and a step of producing a three dimensional knee join image for input knee image by synthesizing the knee joint bone image and the knee joint cartilage image. According to the present invention, a three dimensional image of a knee joint can be produced rapidly accurately.
