The present invention relates to a novel bacillus spp. strain having antifungal activity against pathogenic scleromitrula shiraiana causing a mulberry popcorn disease, and to a biocontrol agent comprising the same as an effective strain. The biocontrol agent prepared by selecting an effective strain having antifungal activity against scleomitrula shiraiana, and identifying and confirming antifungal activities, and morphological, physical and biochemical properties, has effects of providing a novel bacillus spp. strain with antifungal activities of pathogenic microorganisms, and also preventing plant diseases excellent in terms of nutrition, function and quality, containing the bacillus spp. strain as an effective ingredient.
