A paint can rim protector assembly 10 including a support member 12 which fits over the rim 14 of a paint can 16 and a paint protection member 18 which, in use, is located on the support member. The support member may be stiffer than the paint protection member, which may be formed of a thermoplastic elastomer. The assembly may include a spout formation 22, 24 made up of the two members which may include one or more drip guard formations (26, 28). The assembly may include a holder mounting 30 and a demountable item holder 32. The paint protection member may define a receiving channel (52) to receive at least a part of the support member in the assembled condition. The assembly may include a lock (88) for locking the assembly in the assembled condition. Also provided is a method of protecting a paint can rim. |
