The present invention discloses a method for transmit diversity in a wireless communication system, comprising the following steps of: A, modulating a to-be-transmitted signal sequence to generate a symbol sequence S, and multiplying a vector composing of n symbols sequentially selected from the S by a transformation matrix A to obtain a transformation sequence X; and B, encoding in diversity the X to generate a diversity encoding block, and distributing the symbols in the diversity encoding block to each transmission antenna to transmit; where the transformation matrix A is a n-order invertible matrix whose main diagonal elements are not zero and in which the number of nonzero elements in each columns is more than one; n is the number of the transmission antennas. |
