Navigation method and corresponding system for determining a travel related time

摘要

A method for determining a travel related time like travel/arrival/passing times adapted for use in a navigation system and a corresponding navigation system implementing such a method are taught, which use a mesh-based processing approach to obtain estimated arrival/passing times for specific ones of the meshes. This approach allows to significantly reduce the required embedded processing power of the system and the amount of pre-calculated and pre-stored data.
