The cleaning device has a wet dedusting unit (18) for making the exhaust air loaded with pollutants, to contact washing liquid, which is provided with a venturi scrubber having several cascaded venturi stages arranged in the flow direction of exhaust air. The first venturi stage includes a nozzle (14D) for directing the washing liquid into the air stream. One of the venturi stages comprises several venturi throats. The cross-section of one of the venturi stages is set adjustable.
