The present invention provides a sensor and a method for suppressing a background signal which converts the signal difference, between the two signals sensed on each fixed hour at any pixel of a pixel array, into a digital signal and accumulates the same for sensing a large background signal or a desired signal in the environment of a background signal accumulated during the long sensing time.
