1,026,964. Drilling brush - stocks. H. ZAHORANSKY, [trading as ANTON ZAHORANSKY KOMM.-GES.]. May 20, 1963 [Aug. 13, 1962], No. 19969/63. Heading B3C. [Also in Division F2] A cam, formed by two parts 3a, 3b is secured to a shaft by means of a clamping ring 1 slotted at 2 and contracted on to the shaft by a screw 8. The parts 3a, 3b of the cam overlap in the plane of the slot 2 to allow slight relative movement between the parts during clamping while providing a smooth continuous contour for the cam. The part 3a is secured to the ring 1 by a single screw 4, and the part 3b is secured by a screw 6 and pin 7. A washer may be inserted between the cam and the ring 1. The arrangement permits easy angular adjustment of the cam, and removal or replacement of the cam without removing the shaft from the frame of a machine, and is particularly suitable for brush filling or boring machines in which numerous cams are employed which require frequent changing and resetting to enable the machine to deal with different brush bodies. |
