Method and device for securing the reading of a memory

The method involves selecting an address (ADI) at which data to be read (DTI) is stored, in a non-volatile memory (MEM1). The data at the selected address in the memory is read, and the read data is stored in a storage space. Another data in the memory and another stored data are read, and an error signal (ERR) is activated if the latter read data are different, when the memory is not accessed. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a memory protection device comprising a storage space (2) an integrated circuit comprising a memory read by a processing unit.
