The present invention relates to a dendritic cell mature inducing composition, a method for maturing a dendritic cell using the same, and a pharmaceutical composition for treating cancer, including a matured dendritic cell prepared by the method as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, polysaccharide derived from Platycodon gradiflorum simulates a toll-like receptor(TLR)-4, activates an MAPK signal pathway and NF-κB, and consequently, can mature the dendritic cell. The polysaccharide derived from Platycodon gradiflorum has excellent effects of increasing: generation of nitrogen oxide resulted from maturation of the dendritic cell; expression of surface molecules; endocytosis; excretion of cytokine; expression of signal transmission material activated during a maturing process; and activation of T-cells. Therefore, the composition of the present invention can be used for inducing or promoting to mature the dendritic cell. Moreover, a matured dendritic cell, prodcued by using the polysaccharide derived from Platycodon gradiflorum, effectively increases immune response, thus can be advantageously used as a cell treating agent for preventing or treating disease such as cancer, which deteriorates the function of the dentritic cell. |
